D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Marketing Specialist/Merchandising Specialist. The right candidate will be responsible for coordinating division marketing and merchandising functions and if applicable, installation of merchandising / marketing displays. Assist in the planning, staging and ongoing operational maintenance for community models and sales offices. The annual compensation for this role is $90,000 - $110,000, including a discretionary bonus structure, commensurate with experience. This position is on site, Monday through Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

MERCHANDISING

  • Work closely with marketing leadership to oversee model merchandisers, outside interior decorators, landscape architects and onsite superintendents
  • Merchandise select model homes and sales offices as directed
  • Participate in the selection of model furnishings
  • Review and provide feedback to Marketing Leadership on model designs for furniture placement, accent walls, memory points and overall execution
  • Coordinate with model and sales office vendors for sales model complex openings / closures
  • Coordinate installation of merchandising and marketing displays at communities
  • Oversee movers / installers for model home and sales office furniture transfers and merchandising
  • Communicate with various departments to regularly update sales model complex install schedule
  • Oversee ongoing operational maintenance of existing model homes and sales offices
  • Update existing model homes
  • Manages and tracks model home furniture inventory


MARKETING

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to design, order and schedule installation of community onsite and offsite signage programs
  • Manage internal marketing signage tracker
  • Oversee sales model complex marketing initiatives and general upkeep of the sales offices in partnership with onsite sales agents
  • Update and maintain marketing database, organize community marketing files and maintain marketing collateral inventory
  • Fact check and proof-read all marketing materials
  • Ensure brand standards are maintained for all projects
  • Assist in daily administrative responsibilities including invoice reconciliation and general upkeep of marketing material inventory
  • Coordinate and manage marketing events at sales centers, attend events as necessary


GENERAL

  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Stay up-to-date on current merchandising and design trends to use in community model homes
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Must have a vehicle, a valid driver's license and be willing to travel
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Marketing or related field from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Two to four years related experience and /or training
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and creative thinking
  • Ability to work independently and part of a collaborative team
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Ability to manage multiple functions and roles concurrently
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Suite
  • Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for majority of 8-hour workday; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision
  • Regular exposure to outside weather conditions
  • The noise level is generally moderate
