The Nurse Director of Acute Care will lead patient care in a community medical center that provides comprehensive healthcare services, offering both critical care and long-term care to meet the diverse needs of the community. The Acute Care Nurse Director reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and collaborates closely with hospital leadership to drive nursing excellence. Supported by an Acute Care RN Manager, two inpatient Nursing Supervisors, and a Long-term Care Assistant Director of Nursing, the Director will work alongside Medical Directors and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
The Inpatient Acute Care Director is responsible for leading clinical operations and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This Nurse Leader will have the opportunity to mentor and coach an amazing team of Medical Surgical, Acute Care, and Long-Term Care Nurses. Additionally, this person will support best practice development and implementation, drive quality improvement, and spearhead staff development initiatives.
Administrative duties include budget management, staffing oversight, and policy development to support efficient operations. The Acute Care Director of Nursing will play an integral role in aligning clinical department goals with the overall mission of the health center.
