Description

ASC Engineered Solutions is looking for a Foundry Manager for our Columbia PA foundry facility. The Foundry Manager will oversee all daily operations for our Green Sand Molding & Ductile, Cast, and Malleable Iron facility. This individual will lead a safety focused environment to build the foundation for future growth within the site.

How You Will Help
  • Direct a team of 200 employees in a fast paced green sand molding foundry environment operating across 3 shifts to achieve financial and production results.
  • Manage departmental expenses to maintain established budgets.
  • Support and drive a positive safety culture that ensures safety of all employees to include timely resolve of issues, implementation of policies, procedures, and methods to accurately oversee the safety program.
  • Identify and drive cost savings activity across all areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and execute operations plans to direct Melting and Foundry operations that aligns and supports the financial goals of the plant.
  • Maintain KPI's through process stability and control across multiple departments.
  • Work cross-functionally with supporting departments to insure feasibility, organization and implementation of the ideas.
  • Direct required activity to ensure good communication, quick reaction to problems and address employee issues promptly on all shifts.


What you Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferred discipline in Metallurgy, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or 5 years of green sand molding and iron foundry experience required.
  • Requires strong leadership and business management skills including analysis, budgeting, strategic planning, communication, interpersonal skills, team-building and people management skills.
  • Information systems literacy (in particular linked to production, MRP, MPS, Scheduling)
  • Experience with Union environment.
  • Ability to create and drive accountability within the team and lead by example.
  • Strong Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Must be customer-oriented and bottom line driven.
