Direct Counsel is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate - Mid to Senior Level to join a leading law firm with offices across the West Coast and East Coast. This position is open to candidates based in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco or New York.
Position Overview: The firm's Business and Tax practice group is looking for an experienced attorney with at least three years of law firm experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and significant business transactions. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, strong transactional skills, and a passion for client service. M&A experience across various industries such as technology, healthcare, food & beverage, and manufacturing is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage M&A transactions and other complex business deals from start to finish.
- Provide strategic legal advice on structuring, negotiating, and documenting business transactions.
- Work closely with clients to address legal, operational, and business challenges.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to M&A and business transactions.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and clients to ensure the successful execution of transactions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of law firm experience in M&A and business transactions.
- Excellent academic credentials and a track record of strong performance.
- Exceptional writing and drafting skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collegial, and client-focused environment.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for client service.
- Active and in good standing state bar license in the relevant jurisdiction.
