Direct Counsel is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate - Mid to Senior Level to join a leading law firm with offices across the West Coast and East Coast. This position is open to candidates based in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco or New York.

Position Overview: The firm's Business and Tax practice group is looking for an experienced attorney with at least three years of law firm experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and significant business transactions. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, strong transactional skills, and a passion for client service. M&A experience across various industries such as technology, healthcare, food & beverage, and manufacturing is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage M&A transactions and other complex business deals from start to finish.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on structuring, negotiating, and documenting business transactions.
  • Work closely with clients to address legal, operational, and business challenges.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to M&A and business transactions.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and clients to ensure the successful execution of transactions.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years of law firm experience in M&A and business transactions.
  • Excellent academic credentials and a track record of strong performance.
  • Exceptional writing and drafting skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collegial, and client-focused environment.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for client service.
  • Active and in good standing state bar license in the relevant jurisdiction.

Salary & Benefits: The salary range for this position is between $225,000 and $315,000, depending on experience and location. Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
