Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and visionary Director of Quality to lead and coordinate our company's quality activities. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in upholding and enhancing our quality standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce quality standards to ensure high-quality products and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including production, engineering, and sales-to establish product and reliability standards.
- Devise and oversee testing methods and procedures for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and support to staff to promote best practices and compliance with quality standards.
- Lead the certification process and maintain relevant organizational certifications.
- Monitor, analyze, and report quality KPIs, recommending improvements where needed.
- Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, promoting accountability and development.
- Prepare and manage the quality assurance budget to achieve financial objectives.
- Foster collaboration for new product development, engineering design, and manufacturing methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree in quality management, engineering, MBA, or a related field is preferred.
- Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent certifications.
- At least 8 years of experience in quality management, with strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 systems.
- Proven expertise in managing and conducting internal and external audits.
- Experience in lead-battery manufacturing is a plus, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, project management, and analytics software.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, along with strong communication abilities.
