Description:
One Federal Solution (OFS) is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. The Business Analyst will collaborate with NYC DOE's DIIT team to define, validate, and align functional specifications with the goals of system modernization and financial process automation. This role will involve translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications for developers and QA teams. The Business Analyst will actively participate in sprint planning and ensure the successful delivery of enhancements to Galaxy's budgeting, nomination, and HR processes.
Business Analyst Task and Duties:

Business Analyst Task and Duties:
- Support requirements gathering, documentation, gap analysis, and stakeholder communication within the Galaxy Systems workstream.
- Collaborate with NYC DOE's DIIT team to ensure functional specifications are defined, validated, and aligned with system modernization and financial process automation goals.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for developers and QA teams.
- Participate in sprint planning.
- Ensure the delivery of enhancements to Galaxy's budgeting, nomination, and HR-related processes.
- 8+ years in business analysis, with a focus on requirements gathering, documentation, gap analysis, and stakeholder communication.
- Proficient in MS Visio for process mapping and diagramming.
- Skilled in MS Project for project planning, tracking, and resource management.
- Experienced with MS PowerPoint for creating presentations and reports.
- Proficient in SQL Query for data extraction and analysis.
- Strong command of MS Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with PowerBI for creating interactive reports and dashboards.
