Facilities Manager

The Facilities Manager oversees and supervises the housing/maintenance/safety operations of the Department of Residential Services including all single-site buildings (community residences and single-site supported housing) as well as all scatter-site apartment rentals system wide (all five boroughs and Westchester), in order to ensure a safe, comfortable, well-supplied, well-maintained and homelike environment for all residential clients. Facilities Manager oversees the purchases and maintenance of Residential Services agency vehicle fleet.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in building maintenance or other general maintenance or relevant maintenance-skilled position.
• Ability to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Management experience
• Ability to organize a system to prioritize and delegate workload effectively.
• Valid Driver's License required. -- Use own vehicle to drive throughout metropolitan area.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Valid driver's license in good standing preferred

Proficient of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, WORD, Excel, PowerPoint) and database navigation required.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of property maintenance processes and terminology
• Knowledge of construction and renovation processes and terminology.
