General Statement of Duties:Perform a variety of functions for the Accounting Department and provide supervision and administration for Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Cash Reconciliation process and others.

Supervision Received: Report directly to the EVP/Chief Accounting Officer

Supervision Exercised:Manage the Accounts Payable Staff

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Accounts Payable process and staff.
  • Manage all Cash Account Reconciliation processes and staff.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Function.
  • Manage the Lease Accounting Function.
  • Manage pre-paid function.
  • Prepare revenue recognition analysis and memo.
  • Manage the completion of SSAE 16 reports for all required third parties and respective write-ups.
  • Prepare census surveys.
  • Prepare the GL matrix for materiality.
  • Maintain GL responsibility management matrix.
  • Manage accounting policies annual and ongoing updates and approvals.
  • Work with direct reports daily to ensure focus is appropriate.
  • Assist accounting management with special projects as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional accountabilities as required.

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

Perform other related functions as required by manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience in financial Institution accounting.
  • Minimum of 8 years of people management experience.
  • Expert knowledge of GAAP as well as excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) .
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Expertise in maintaining accounting controls and accounting processes.

  • Experience with management cost accounting systems.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management, employees, and vendors.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet accounting deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise sound and prudent management decisions.
  • Excellent organizational, follow-up and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Pay Range $185,000 - $200,000

Hours: 37.50

This is an exempt position.

The actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience and other factors permitted by law.
