Sr. Director, Program Management

Location: Arcadia, Advance, Ecru, Mesquite, Redlands, Leesport

Reports to: EVP, Distribution and Transportation

Position Overview: The Senior Director of Program Management will lead and oversee the strategic program portfolio for Distribution and Transportation operations at Ashley. This role will drive organizational transformation through effective project execution, change management, and cross-functional leadership to optimize our supply chain operations, with a strong focus on technology enablement and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Program Leadership:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive program portfolio management strategy aligned with organizational objectives
  • Lead multiple complex, cross-functional programs across distribution and transportation operations
  • Establish and maintain program governance frameworks, including portfolio prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management
  • Drive change management initiatives to ensure successful implementation of strategic programs

Technology & Systems Integration:

  • Partner with IT leadership to develop technology roadmaps supporting distribution and transportation initiatives
  • Lead requirements gathering and documentation for enterprise-wide systems implementations
  • Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies and execution for new system deployments
  • Ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions through regular collaboration with IT teams
  • Drive the implementation of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and other supply chain technologies
  • Facilitate integration between various systems and platforms to optimize operational efficiency

Business Process & Systems Requirements:

  • Define and document detailed business requirements for technology solutions
  • Collaborate with IT architects to ensure system designs meet business objectives
  • Establish testing protocols and acceptance criteria for new system implementations
  • Lead system enhancement initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Oversee data migration strategies and execution plans
  • Manage vendor relationships for technology solutions and implementations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 12+ years of progressive program/project management experience, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
  • Extensive experience in distribution, transportation, and supply chain operations
  • Strong technical acumen with experience in implementing enterprise-scale systems
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale transformation programs
  • Strong understanding of program portfolio management methodologies and best practices
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and organizational transformation
  • Excellence in stakeholder management and executive communication
