Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Cyber Fusion Engineer with a specialized focus on networking to join our team. As a Cyber Fusion Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating and coordinating advanced cybersecurity technologies and threat intelligence, working closely with various security teams to ensure optimal defense mechanisms across our network infrastructure. Your expertise in networking will be critical in identifying vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and fortifying network security to protect our digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Security Integration:
    • Implement, monitor, and maintain network security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, etc.) to defend against cyber threats.
    • Design and deploy secure network architectures, ensuring they meet the organization's security policies and compliance requirements.
    • Collaborate with incident response teams to analyze network-related security incidents and recommend improvements.
  • Threat Detection and Response:
    • Leverage threat intelligence tools and data feeds to enhance network defense mechanisms.
    • Perform network traffic analysis, anomaly detection, and intrusion prevention to identify vulnerabilities and threats in real-time.
    • Assist in the investigation and remediation of network-based security incidents, including DDoS attacks, network intrusions, and advanced persistent threats.
  • Cyber Fusion Operations:
    • Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., SOC, threat intelligence, risk management) to analyze and respond to complex cybersecurity events.
    • Design and implement fusion center strategies for coordinating threat response and incident management across the organization.
    • Provide expertise on integrating security tools, platforms, and incident response workflows to streamline the cyber defense lifecycle.
  • Security Monitoring & Auditing:
    • Develop and fine-tune network security monitoring systems, ensuring high availability and efficiency in detecting threats.
    • Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
    • Generate reports on network security posture, providing actionable recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaboration and Training:
    • Provide technical guidance and support to network engineers and other IT staff regarding network security best practices.
    • Develop training materials and conduct workshops to raise awareness of network security risks and mitigation strategies.
    • Stay current on emerging cybersecurity trends and network attack vectors to continuously enhance defense mechanisms.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain thorough documentation of network security configurations, incident responses, and network-related security policies.
    • Prepare detailed reports for senior management, highlighting key cybersecurity risks, incidents, and mitigation strategies.

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Network Engineering, or a related experience, preferred.
    • Strong experience (3-5 years) in network security, including hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security devices.
    • Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) and deep understanding of network vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques.
    • Proven experience with cyber fusion operations or security operations center (SOC) environments.
    • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools like SIEM, firewall management, network monitoring tools, and intrusion detection systems.
    • Certifications in cybersecurity/networking (e.g., CISSP, CCNP, CompTIA Security+, CEH, etc.) are highly preferred.
    • Ability to travel; may require onsite deployments and installation of network equipment.

    Desired Skills:
    • Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
    • Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and securing cloud-based infrastructures.
    • Familiarity with network traffic analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, Zeek).
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents.

    Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a proactive and self-driven approach to problem-solving.

    Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and trends.
