Assistive Technology Facilitator (1.0 FTE) for the 2025-2026 School Year
The Exceptional Learners Collaborative (ELC) is seeking licensed applicants for the 2025-2026 school year. The ELC is located in Vernon Hills (Lake County), Illinois; is a special education cooperative providing services to students identified with special needs, ages 3 through 22 years of age. The ELC represents Kildeer Countryside Community Consolidated School District 96, Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103, Adlai E. Stevenson High School District 125 and Fox Lake District 114. The ELC serves eight elementary schools, four junior high/middle schools and one high school.
Description:
The Exceptional Learners Collaborative (ELC) is seeking an exemplary candidate to serve as the Assistive Teachnology Facilitator for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will provide support in the following areas:
Collaborate with building based teams on meeting the needs of individual students through the use of assistive technology
Develop, implement, and continually assess the effectiveness of Assistive Technology Services.
Provides evaluation, modeling and training to staff and parents on the full continuum of communication and technology support.
Serves as a diagnostic team member and provides ongoing technical assistance to students, staff and families.

Qualifications:
- Current license from the State of Illinois Special Certificate endorsed for Speech and Language Pathology, Type 03, 09, 10, 73 or LBS1.
- Certificate of Assistive Technology preferred or willing to obtain.
- Ability to travel within the districts and move about ELC and district buildings as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and continually assess the effectiveness of Assistive Technology Services.
- Provides evaluation, modeling and training to staff and parents on the full continuum of communication and technology support
- Serves as a diagnostic team member and provides ongoing technical assistance to students, staff and families.
Salary & Benefit Information:
- Pay ranges from $55,350 - $115,000 depending on education level and experience
- This is a 10-month, Monday through Friday position
