Essential Job Functions

Are you an experienced e-billing professional with a passion for process improvement and collaboration? We're looking for a Senior e-Billing Coordinator to join our dynamic team and work alongside the e-Billing Manager to enhance and manage the Firm's e-billing processes. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact while supporting a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead e-Billing Administration: Take ownership of the e-billing function, ensuring processes are smooth and efficient.
  • Process Enhancement: Proactively identify and implement improvements to streamline and optimize e-billing workflows.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation and provide training to relevant teams to ensure smooth adoption of e-billing procedures.
  • Vendor Site Set-Up & Maintenance: Manage the full life cycle of e-billing vendor sites-from initial set-up to ongoing maintenance, ensuring timely and accurate updates to timekeeper rates and billing overrides.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation: Collaborate on the development of new reports and procedures aimed at improving operational efficiency. Make impactful recommendations to enhance team productivity.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant e-billing experience, ideally within a law firm or a professional services environment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or Information Systems is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, with experience in Elite 3E and Electronic Billing Systems.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills-manage deadlines and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A dedication to delivering superior service with high-quality standards, coupled with a client-focused mindset and a willingness to go the extra mile, including flexibility for occasional overtime.

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. Compensation Range:
  • Chicago: $83,000 - $109,000
