We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with expertise in optimization and simulation to join E2E Data & Analytics team. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing optimization and simulation models that empower our customers across Walmart E2E organization to make data-driven decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop cutting-edge algorithms, and deploy solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and performance.
We offer a Relocation Package; Remote is NOT an Option. This Position is based in Bentonville, AR.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

What You'll Do
- Identifying opportunities and business problems and framing them into advanced optimization models (e.g. linear programming, mixed-integer programming).
- Performing in-depth data exploration and analysis to uncover insights, trends and patterns that inform optimization strategies.
- Developing and refine algorithms for process improvements, resource allocation and cost optimization.
- Ensuring optimization and simulation models are scalable and robust for production deployment.
- Developing dashboards and visualizations to communicate model performance and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Staying current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new methodologies in optimization and simulation.
- Partnering with product managers, operations teams, and other data scientist to translate business objectives into actionable data science solutions.
What You'll Bring
- Expertise in mathematical modeling, linear programming, mixed-integer programming, constraint programming, or stochastic optimization.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, C, C++, with experience using optimization libraries (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi).
- Strong experience with simulation frameworks and techniques (e.g., Monto Carlo, discrete-event, agent-based simulation).
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex models and insights to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
