About this role:
This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join our pediatric surgery and trauma program at Primary Children's Hospital. Primary Children's Hospital is a full-service level 1 pediatric trauma center certified by the American College of Surgeons and serves six Intermountain states. The General Surgery/Trauma system emphasizes the delivery of expert care, research, education and prevention. Our team supports both the main campus located in Salt Lake City, Utah and our newly built campus in Lehi, Utah. The APP works in conjunction with and under the direction of pediatric surgeons to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with surgical needs and traumatic injuries. The APPs primarily spend time managing patients on the units, doing consults and providing trauma telehealth services. OR assisting opportunities are generally for emergent cases only, during night and weekend shifts, at the Salt Lake campus while regular opportunities are available at our Lehi campus.
Full time, the APP will work approximately 40 hours per week. Schedule will include six 12-hour shifts (from 0600-1800. 0830-2030, 1800-0600) per biweekly pay period, with the additional eight hours available for required training, meetings, documentation, etc. We provide 24/7 team coverage, which does require weekends, nights and holidays shifts to be rotated between team members.

What you'll bring:
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Utah state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Utah state controlled substance license
Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
Prior Pediatric APP experience is highly preferred.
