Position Overview

As a D365 Project Manager, you will be acting as a lead for the overall organization of the project. This will include project planning and execution, risk identification and contract control, and maintaining resource assignments within the project. You will also have the responsibility of delivering projects on time, on budget with promised functionality, to Ciellos quality standards and our customers' satisfaction. Our principal project areas are business process development, complex implementations, cloud architecture and buildouts, ISV product development, phase 2+ systems improvements, business intelligence and performance overhauls, upgrades, integrations, and system migrations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from initiation to completion, for partner and customer software implementation and custom-build projects primarily focused on Microsoft Dynamics product solutions and platforms.
  • Track and report on project budget vs actuals, produce Estimate-To-Complete (ETC) and Estimate-At-Completion (EAC), and report and escalate budget discrepancies. Author and execute Budget Change Orders as needed.
  • Develop detailed project task and resource plans against desired timelines, and schedule resources according to said plan. Author and execute schedule Change Orders as needed.
  • Identify and track deviations of project scope against the agreed scope as listed in signed contracts and lead assigned project teams to deliver the agreed scope within contractual commitments. Identify Author and execute Scope Change Orders as needed.
  • Lead and collaborate with virtual cross-functional teams, both onshore and offshore, to ensure project objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Track and manage project risks and issues, produce risk and issue mitigation plans, and escalate potential risk and issues in a timely manner to stakeholders, including solutions and best path resolutions for final decision.
  • Leverage your expertise in Dynamics project management to deliver high-quality solutions that exceed customer and partner expectations.
  • Facilitate your excellent change management skills as part of Dynamics upgrade projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruptions.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our Project Management Office (PMO) by applying PMI and Scrum principles and best practices.


What Is Needed to Succeed in The Role?

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering, IS Management, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of direct experience in software project management, ideally with a focus on the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem or with other ERP, HCM, CRM, or SaaS software solutions
  • Experience with change management processes, especially related to ERP implementations, custom builds or upgrades/similar software transitions
  • Demonstrated ability

    • work with multilingual and multicultural customers and coworkers
    • multitask and manage priorities effectively
    • work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and leadership skills in leading virtual project management of internal, partner, and customer teams
  • Strong background in managing SMB and Enterprise software implementation projects, ideally Dynamics and/or similar systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Azure DevOps

Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem product implementation experience and/or D365 upgrades project experience
  • PMP and/or Scrum.org certifications
  • ERP and/or accounting background
  • Experience building, documenting or teaching PMO processes and tools

Compensation

The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and the location.
