We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CONTROLLER to oversee our financial operations. This position is responsible for managing the accounting department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have Healthcare and Medical insurance in their background along with solid understanding of GAAP and accounting procedures.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CONTROLLER to oversee our financial operations. This position is responsible for managing the accounting department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have Healthcare and Medical insurance in their background along with solid understanding of GAAP and accounting procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation.
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliations.
- Support accounting staff with Medicaid insurance claims, payroll, a/p, a/r, etc.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of all financial data.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare regulatory reports as required by government agencies and ensure compliance with all relevant laws.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required; professional certifications (e.g., CPA) are preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role.
- Five or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
- In-depth understanding of GAAP and financial concepts, corporate accounting principles, and cash management practices.
- Proficiency in accounts receivable management and reconciliation processes.
- Experience in payroll management systems and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
