Position Overview:
Provides leadership and direction to a diverse team of leaders, in planning, organizing, staffing and controlling the operational functions related to nutrition and food services in all acute and non-acute entities in the assigned geographic area. Participates in system-sponsored initiatives, establishing goals and standards to support business initiatives and to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and achievement of common objectives. Develops and fosters a solid partnership with leaders and employees to facilitate and collaborate on initiatives, to resolve operational challenges and/or to improve processes. Works with senior leadership to develop and establish short- and long-term strategic plans that complement system, operating unit or affiliate goals and initiatives, including business, operations, and/or organizational priorities. Implements various cost savings components to operations and standardizes processes where appropriate. Establishes the direction of policies and procedures, and sets a structure for providing a safe working environment. Creates overall operating and capital budget with input from the management team, ensuring financial targets are achieved, and variances are addressed timely.
This is a hybrid role with onsite requirements within the Sutter footprint.

Pay Range is $94.32 to $150.90 / hour. Sacramento Valley Pay Range is $83.00 to $132.80 / hour.
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Description:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's: Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management or related field
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- RD-Registered Dietitian Upon Hire OR Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) Upon Hire
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 15 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Extensive knowledge of Nutrition & Food Services operations in acute and non-acute settings in establishing work processes, quality and productivity standards, and policies and procedures designed to ensure optimal departmental performance.
- A comprehensive knowledge of The Joint Commission, Title 22/State, federal, state licensing, and other local regulations as they relate to Nutrition & Food Services.
- Knowledge of technological advancements, labor savings procedures and equipment, and other state-of-the-art departmental specific systems.
- Demonstrated ability in healthcare management with experience in personnel management; management and integration of multiple entities; budget preparation and planning for multiple facilities; clinical programs; development and monitoring of staff productivity systems; quality improvement and establishment of quality standards and monitors; and development of other key management control systems for multi-entities.
- Excellent team leadership and organizational skills.
- Proven written and oral communication skills demonstrating interpersonal skills are required in order to coordinate effective area-wide integration that meets service needs as well as administrative and departmental needs in the various entities.
- An ability to deal with complex situations and a large degree of variation in policies, rules and regulations is critical.
- Must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently.
- An ability to meet deadlines and implement projects effectively across multiple entities is an integral part of the work responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of word processing, graphics and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands and projects.
