THE POSITION

This position gives you the opportunity to utilize your job knowledge to plan, supervise, and participate in the building, HVAC, and grounds maintenance program. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Facility Services Manager 3, you will be responsible for managing and directing the operations, maintenance, administration, and control of the building. This includes custodial services and preventive, normal, and emergency maintenance within the building as well as the surrounding grounds and mechanical yard, by subordinate custodial personnel and through performance by vendors on a contract basis. Work involves planning, developing, and coordinating needed maintenance, managing contracts, and managing all work performed under the contracts. You may have the opportunity to periodically assist in maintenance and repair operations. Additional responsibilities include:

You may have the opportunity to periodically assist in maintenance and repair operations. Additional responsibilities include:
- Budget development and administration related to building operations, maintenance, and capital improvement
- Supervising skilled trades, custodial, and supervisory personnel
- Coordinating police and security matters as well as fire safety
- Inspecting grounds daily
- Investigating incident reports
- Providing staff training
- Acting as a liaison to state and local building officials

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Facility Services Manager 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Six years of routine maintenance work experience which includes four years of supervisory experience overseeing trades or building maintenance employees in a commercial or industrial facility; or
- An associate's degree in commercial property management, commercial real estate, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), building automation, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical technology, electronics, construction, or related fields; and four years of supervisory experience overseeing trades or building maintenance employees in a commercial or industrial facility; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes four years of supervisory experience overseeing trades or building maintenance employees in a commercial or industrial facility.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
