Asset Management Specialist

The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

Pay Range:
$33.02 - $49.53

What You'll Be Doing

Responsible for administering and continuously improving the automation of the entire asset life cycle for IT hardware and software, as well as the rest of the enterprise assets. Collaborate with multiple divisions to develop and implement procedures for tracking all enterprise assets and oversee quality control throughout the asset life cycle.

  • Supports the asset management life cycle for tracking and accounting for all assets from procurement to disposal.
  • Manages acquisition, deployment, utilization, tracking, security, and final disposition of IT and Enterprise assets.
  • Responsible for developing, documenting, and managing IT business processes associated with hardware and software asset & licensing management.
  • Responsible for research, recommendation of and assistance with the implementation of asset management tools and processes.
  • Monitors, reports and coordinates the maintenance of company assets with business owners, including new purchases and retirement of assets.
  • Performs audits through data collection and analysis for software and hardware to identify incorrect data entries, end of life, inactive software and hardware usage and inactive users.
  • Reconciliation of asset records when discrepancies are discovered in the database through the audit process or independently discovered.
  • Assists in the development of asset standards involving the identification, classification, and control of assets. Assists with the improvement, integration, and execution of the IT asset management service into a fully mature business integrated function.
  • Coordinates with other departments as needed to ensure compliancy for hardware and software assets, organization wide.
  • Develops and implements procedures for tracking assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles, including the disposition of assets at end of life.
  • Assists technical teams with updating and maintaining the data integrity of the software and hardware asset management systems.
  • Maintains the standard service catalog in ServiceNow.
  • Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking.
  • Periodically evaluates process and program effectiveness and takes action to maintain continuous improvement.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • 3-5 years of experience managing computer hardware, software applications, and software development tools required
  • Previous experience within a financial services company preferred
  • Previous Credit Union or Financial Institution analysis experience
  • ITAM (IT Asset Management) certification or equivalent work experience preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge in data manipulation skills (e.g., MS SQL) and manipulating data (Excel, Access etc.).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Strong working knowledge of IT asset management principles and concepts applicable to software, hardware, and inventory administration
  • Knowledge of the following systems preferred: ServiceNow, Coupa
  • Ability to exhibit flexibility and adaptability while collaborating across multiple divisions
  • Possess excellent data gathering, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to produce reports and respond to requests from management
  • Subject matter expert and support the growth of the Enterprise Asset Management Program
