THE WORK
Training and Logistics Solutions (TLS) Integrated Engineering is looking for a Multi-Functional Engineering Manager with L-code responsibility for a diverse team that develops innovative solutions across multiple Automated Test programs and projects. The selected candidate will be a leader of leaders and will have overall responsibility and accountability for Integrated Engineering's performance across a host of programs. You will manage an Integrated Engineering team with a focus on Hardware solutions within Automated Test Equipment.
As a key leader of our engineering team you will:
Enable the performance of diverse and talented teams, with a focus on Hardware products, but requiring the interfacing with team members with expertise in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware
Engineering, Integration & Test, Configuration & Data Management and Infrastructure Engineering by setting and clearly communicating organizational vision, expectations and objectives
Ensure the integrity of engineering activity by employing both quantitative and qualitative management approaches and compliance with Command Media. Collect and use data to make data-driven decisions
Manage performance of engineering team(s). Engage to facilitate corrective action, as required
Manage, monitor, and develop the hardware metrics and Earned Value Management across programs
Actively monitor staffing demand and take action to ensure sufficient supply
Promote the continual identification and active management of teams' risks and opportunities
Champion continuous improvement activities. Identify opportunities to employ tools and practices that increase team efficiency and quality
Champion the automation of manual processes in the spirit of Digital Transformation. Develop and communicate automation strategies that facilitate adoption at all levels within the organization
Organize and facilitate the personal and career development of team members. Ensure team members are prepared with the training and skills to be successful within their teams. Create and execute organizational training plans
Partner with Human Resources to promote a "people first" culture and to resolve all personnel-related matters in a timely fashion
Foster an inclusive work environment that values diversity, sharing, out-of-the-box thinking and seeing the big-picture
Ensure the quality and compliance of cost estimates generated from within your organization
Cultivate a fun, exciting, and innovative culture that celebrates engineering and our engineers
Note: This position will require the selected candidate to have an active Secret level U.S. government security clearance
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical discipline
- Experience coaching, mentoring and developing the critical skills of engineers
- Experience working collaboratively with Program Management, Finance and Contracts organizations
- Experience applying the Hardware Engineering Vee Process Model to fully develop and integrate a complex system
- Control Account Management (CAM) experience within past 5 years
- Thorough understanding of program, functional, and process metrics including Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Capture experience including authoring proposals
- Experience leading cross-functional product development teams
- Experience leading a team through change
- Experience creating and implementing hiring plans
- Demonstrated ability and desire to automate manual, time-consuming tasks
Desired skills
- 12 years or more of professional experience with 4 or more years of experience as a Manager
- Prior experience in Test Solution programs, products, and product lines (LM-STAR, LM-CORE, eCASS, COLT) or similar products.
- Experience in Systems Engineering, Complex Systems Integration & Test, and using Model-Based Engineering (MBE) processes, principles and tools
- SAFe Training/Certification, RMS SAM Training/Certification or other Recognized Agile Certification
- Understanding of DevSecOps Practices inclusive of Agile Product Development leveraging Scrum & Kanban
- Experience working on both domestic and international firm fixed price contracts

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
