Job Summary

Works independently with internal and external business partners within the TPP Product team to align solutions with client business strategies in the TPP Merchant Services Division. Identifies and communicates business needs and translates these needs into understandable requirements for customer implementation. Determines if internal or external solutions exist or whether new solutions are needed. Works with key Product Managers and vendors to analyze and to determine if these solutions support the clients processes and systems. Partners with appropriate Product resources to accurately prioritize, analyze, and document client business processes. Provides input surrounding proposal for possible solutions to clients in collaboration with Product managers. Supports clients and internal business partners and from the gathering of requirements to the final implementation. Supports client Implementation teams with product support, leading and facilitating working sessions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Acts as an expert in the Merchant Services Product team in supporting sales and product define customer capabilities.
  • Builds, maintains, and manages stakeholder relationships, product and sales on customers requirements, and new product initiatives.
  • Analyzes client requirements to define product recommendations to determine opportunities to improve the customer experience. Understands the difference between a requirement and a desire or want.
  • Develops product requirements documents to represent requirements, such as use cases, business process flows, and data flow diagrams.
  • Obtains, captures, and validates needed information from stakeholders to form requirements through various analysis techniques. Responsible for requirements management, approval, change, and traceability.
  • Participates in negotiation of agreements and commitments. Facilitates communication between business units and Vendors requirements to final implementation. May make recommendations for buy versus build decisions.
  • Maintains a current knowledge base and understanding of Payments industry trends. Contributes to business ideation and concept development as required.
  • Works on multiple products as a product team member, occasionally as a product leader.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on Business, Finance, Communications, Computer Science, information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience:
  • Five (5) years of work related experience within the financial services and or merchant processing industry.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of the payment and merchant services industry
  • Highly independent in thinking and framing problems
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Visio
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all levels of management.
  • Ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills for refining existing theories or developing new approaches.
  • Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
  • Ability to communicate needs and schedules to internal Stakeholders, managers and clients.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
