Real Estate Associate - Los Angeles - Century City

Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join a highly regarded real estate law firm in Orange County, California. This is an exciting opportunity to work primarily on construction transactional matters, including design and architect agreements, construction contracts, and development-related agreements.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in real estate and construction law. This role will involve working on complex, high-value projects with some of the top legal professionals in the field. The firm offers a collaborative environment and ample opportunities for career growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on construction transactional matters, including design and architect agreements, construction contracts, engineering and consulting agreements, and development management agreements.
  • Assist with construction licenses, easements, and project management agreements.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys while also handling individual responsibilities.
  • Gain experience in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, finance, title and survey review, and general transactional due diligence.
  • Attend meetings, assist with client counseling, and contribute to overall case strategies.

Ideal Candidate:
  • 3-4 years of experience in real estate, construction law, or related fields.
  • Strong writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Additional experience with real estate acquisitions, finance, and title review is a plus.
  • Experience with data center leasing is helpful but not required.
  • Major law firm experience is preferred.
  • High level of academic achievement.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary for this full-time role is $225,000 to $250,000 per year, depending on relevant experience, job-related skills, and qualifications. The role also includes full benefits.
