Job Summary:

The Government Account Executive I (GAE) will be responsible for the growth and retention of existing Government and Education accounts while prospecting new accounts and generating new sales revenue. The GAE will have a quota based on producing new revenue from Government and Education accounts. Additionally, the GAE may have customer account management responsibilities, including monitoring accounts for customer satisfaction, assisting Customer Service in resolving issues, and pursuing additional revenue opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • 70% - New Revenue Generation:
    • Responsible for achieving a new revenue quota related to the Government and Education team.
    • Enforce and inspect all new account entries in the current contact management system.
    • Successfully sell to prospective and existing Government and Education entities.
    • Meet or exceed all assigned booked revenue and line quotas.
    • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • 20% - Account Management:
    • Maintain relationships with large customers and conduct quarterly account review meetings to ensure Segra remains the chosen provider.
    • Investigate and resolve any problems, positioning additional products within accounts as needed.
  • 5% - Customer Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with customers and all Segra personnel to ensure smooth and efficient customer installations and transitions to Customer Service.
    • Provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • 5% - Professional Standards:
    • Observe standards in business ethics, presentations, proposals, and overall representation of the company.
    • Maintain a professional image and appearance that reflects the standards of Segra.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 5 - 7 years in technology sales with a proven track record of managing major accounts.
    • Sales hunter experience preferred.
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred. Experience with Hubspot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce preferred.
    • Proven track record of year-over-year sales growth, sales budget achievement, and customer retention.

  • Ability to design plans to position Segra products and services to align with customers' initial and changing needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to adapt products and services as needed.
