Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership:
- Manage and oversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance employee skills.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration between departments.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce and promote a safe working environment, ensuring all safety protocols and regulations are followed.
- Oversee environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives within the plant.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage the plant's budget, ensuring cost control and financial performance targets are met.
- Analyze financial reports and production data to identify areas for cost savings and operational improvements.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures to minimize defects and rework.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to resolve any quality-related issues.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and other process improvement projects.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and implement best practices to improve plant performance.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems; experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
Working Conditions:
- This position operates in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and moving machinery.
- The role requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as needed.
