Job Description Summary
This role will serve as the strategic lead for the development and execution of a comprehensive Project Controls service line within the PDS organization. The Sr. Director, Project Controls Americas Lead, will be responsible for expanding the current project controls capabilities across service lines and geographies, ensuring best-in-class delivery, consistency, and growth. This position requires strong leadership, business development acumen, and technical expertise in project controls methodologies to enhance our service offerings, drive business line growth, and mentor emerging talent.
Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for Project Controls within PDS, aligning with broader company goals.
  • Expand and enhance existing project controls capabilities, integrating best practices and innovative solutions as well as strategic recruiting.
  • Drive business development efforts, identifying and securing new opportunities across multiple geographies and service lines.
  • Establish, refine, and implement standardized best practices, systems, tools, and procedures for project controls.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project controls professionals, fostering talent development and retention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, market leaders, and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Ensure the successful integration of project controls into complex, large-scale capital programs.
  • Partner with leadership to develop key performance indicators and success metrics for project controls services.
  • Market the firm's project controls expertise externally, positioning the company as an industry leader.
  • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and project execution through automation and data analytics.


Metrics
  • Contributes through the overall implementation of strategic direction of the Project Controls service offering.
  • Acts as the trusted business advisor and strategic partner by the clients both internally and externally.
  • In partnership with PDS Platform Lead, support the sourcing, presenting and securing of new business opportunities.


BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience in project controls, project management, or cost management in large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong business development experience, including building client relationships and securing new work.
  • Proven track record in developing and managing project controls functions across various sectors.
  • Expertise in cost control, risk management, change management, scheduling, estimating methodologies, and forecasting for capital projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change within a complex organization.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard project controls software (Primavera P6, Power BI, etc.).
  • PMP, CCP, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $187,000.00 - $220,000.00
