SUMMARY
Highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Supervisor to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure operations team, ensuring the reliability and performance of our network systems, and providing technical leadership for critical IT projects. This role requires a candidate with significant experience in network administration, telecommunications, and supervisory experience in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Network Infrastructure Management: Supervise and manage the operation and performance of the City's network infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and performance of systems across 250+ locations with over 6000+ devices.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of network administrators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support for professional development and operational excellence.
- Systems Maintenance: Oversee the administration and maintenance of Cisco Routers, Switches, Aruba network equipment, and other related network devices.
- Project Oversight: Manage and ensure the success of network-related projects, including upgrades, troubleshooting, and the installation of new network equipment and services.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including monitoring for vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Incident Resolution: Coordinate and resolve any network-related incidents, ensuring timely and effective solutions while minimizing downtime.
- Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support for both internal teams and external stakeholders regarding network infrastructure issues.
- Vendor Management: Work closely with external vendors to ensure the timely delivery of network infrastructure equipment and services.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of network configurations, performance logs, and incident reports. Prepare periodic reports for senior management on network performance and ongoing issues.
- Disaster Recovery: Oversee the development and execution of disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Over 10 years of hands-on experience in IT with substantial experience in managing large-scale network infrastructures.
- At least 7 years of experience in the telecommunications field, including installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems.
- Proven experience supervising teams in high-demand IT environments, including a 24-hour emergency operations center.
- Certifications:
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP or equivalent
- Technical Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency with Cisco Routers and Switches (ASR9000, C9300, C9500, Nexus 9000, ie2000, ie3200, WLC and Cisco wireless
- In-depth experience with Aruba hardware including CX6200, CX6300, CX8300 & Aruba wireless, ClearPass, and other Aruba network management systems, including cloud-based Aruba Central
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with IPAM, Solarwinds, CyberArk, and other enterprise software.
- Experience with Netmotion VPN, Sierra Wireless AMM, NAC support using 802.1x and zero-trust methodologies
- Strong proficiency with optical multiplex chassis CWDM/DWDM systems, especially Cisco ONS M15454 and Ciena Waveserver
- Education:
- Associate's degree in Networking Technology or a related field from an accredited institution
- BAS in Networking Technology and Computer Engineering Technology preferred or relevant experience
