Job Summary
The OR Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivery in the operating theatre. Assumes some responsibility of the DON in his/her absence. As a Registered Nurse, the OR supervisor is also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from perioperative assessment to discharge to PACU.
Qualifications:
The OR Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivery in the operating theatre. Assumes some responsibility of the DON in his/her absence. As a Registered Nurse, the OR supervisor is also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from perioperative assessment to discharge to PACU.
- Ability to provide direction of others that is clear, concise, and promoted efficiency through the clinical areas of the facility.
- Assess, plans, evaluates, and ensures the implementation of the patient's care to achieve identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to the facility policy and procedures.
- Demonstrates the safe operation of equipment and machinery and follows procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation.
Qualifications:
- Licensed RN in the State of Texas
- Graduate form an accredited Nursing School
- Experience in ambulatory surgery center
- 2-5 years of nursing management
- BLS/ACLS Certification
