Key Responsibilities
  • Manage major account(s) as defined by the Director of Sales and/or General Manager.
  • Establish and maintain key relationships at major account(s).
  • Communicate with operations and the General Manager on a regular basis to discuss customer service expectations.
  • Suggest solutions and ideas to enhance contracts with major accounts.
  • Stay informed with current trends inside these major accounts that could impact the company positively or negatively and communicate this promptly.
  • Handle complaints and problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop strong partnerships with existing and potential customers within designated sales region.
  • Become familiar with in-house software used to provide quotes.
  • Correspond with external and internal stakeholders by means of phone calls, emails, and letters as needed for account management and project execution.
  • Maintain records of sales, customer satisfaction, and opportunities for service and product growth.
  • Assist in the formulation, construction and editing of major contracts.


Skills Knowledge and Expertise

The ideal candidate will embody the following characteristics and possess the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:
  • 5+ years of direct experience in sales and hazardous waste industry required; knowledge of the transformer industry preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Must be able to type and use Microsoft programs to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
  • Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with customers, vendors and company associates.
  • Must have familiarity with most types of modern office equipment including copiers, computers, phones and fax machines.
  • An Associate's degree or higher in a related field is preferred.

  • Problem Solving - must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather/analyze information appropriately.
  • Dependability - must be consistently at work and on time, follow instructions, respond to management instructions and solicit feedback to improve performance.
  • Adaptability - must be able to adapt to change in the work environment and to manage competing tasks.
  • Quality - must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; must monitor own work to ensure quality requirements are met.
