The Valve Services Manager role plays a pivotal role in managing all aspects of valve and service orders, from coordination to execution as well as overall team management. Your responsibilities will encompass various facets of our Valve Division, including new valves, parts, repair, automation, and field services. The Valve Service Manager will also play a key role in managing customer relationships, ensuring that their needs are met, and that the shop operates safely, efficiently and profitably. The successful candidate must be innovative, passionate, and resourceful while demonstrating technical skills.

How you'll make an impact:
  • Schedule and organize work and workflow
  • Supervise a team of valve technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentorship
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
  • Oversee the repair, maintenance, and testing of industrial valves to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
  • Complete inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards
  • Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during the repair process
  • Maintain communication with customers regarding repair status, timelines, and issues
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and service standards.
  • Coordinate with inventory management to maintain proper stock levels
  • Manage shop floor expenses and contribute to budget management
  • Prepare reports on shop floor performance, including quality, safety, and productivity metrics
  • Maintain service calendar and technician assignments, ensuring timely job completion.
  • Ensuring team meets all customer required safety training requirements

Skills you'll need:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role in a valve shop or similar industrial repair facility
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of industrial valves and related equipment
  • Understanding of safety regulations and quality standards
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read and Interpret dimensional drawings and prints
  • Have a working knowledge of relief and safety valves
  • Know how a relief valve operates
  • Have a working knowledge of ASME, NBIC and applicable API codes
  • Minimum of 8 plus years of valve repair, testing, reconditioning or modification
