FinOps Lead - Hybrid

Job Description:
As a FinOps Lead, ensuring cloud financial operations align with business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor, optimize, and manage cloud expenditures while improving cost visibility and accountability. Reporting to Enterprise Architecture, this role requires expertise in financial planning, cost optimization, governance, and cloud technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with Infrastructure & Operations, Product, and DevOps teams to monitor and optimize cloud resource usage.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through right-sizing, reserved instances, and savings plans.
• Establish policies for resource tagging, allocation, and spend limits to enforce cost accountability.
• Build detailed forecasts for cloud costs, incorporating growth trends and utilization metrics.
• Collaborate with IT Finance teams to align cloud spending with budgets and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to track cloud costs against forecasts and budgets.
• Work closely with Product, Enterprise Architecture, and Engineering teams to ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Provide actionable insights on cloud spend trends, anomalies, and risks to leadership.
• Implement tools and frameworks to automate cloud cost reporting and alerts.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• 8+ years of experience in finance or FP&A-related roles.
• 3-4 years of experience in cloud finance or cloud operations, preferably in a SaaS or cloud-native environment.
• Proven ability to implement cloud cost analytics frameworks by product.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and pricing models.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, cost analysis, and cloud cost management tools (e.g., CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, Spot).
• Familiarity with FinOps principles and frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, SQL) is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
