Senior Reliability Engineer

Join JRC's Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team!

We are looking for a talented Senior Reliability Engineer to join our amazing Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team in Cape Canaveral, FL. As the Senior Engineer, you will provide technical expertise in research, development, and testing of missile/rocket guidance systems for the US Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile program, working closely with program management leaders and technical subject matter experts.

As the Senior Reliability Engineer, you will...

• Provide technical expertise in missile/rocket guidance systems
• Advise customers on design improvements over previous systems
• Perform requirements analysis and assessment of detailed designs
• Advise customers on test planning (component level to system level testing)
• Conduct trade studies and analysis of alternatives
• Coordinate with program stakeholders, including other customer contractors/partners
• Develop and review documentation and supporting material for technical accuracy
• Provide expertise and guidance in the reliability of flight avionics
• Identify methodologies for minimizing hardware footprint while enhancing adaptability and modularity
• Provide equipment problem/solution development for interface deconfliction

What you bring to the table...

• A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent years of experience
• 10+ years of experience supporting the Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile program
• Ability to analyze processes and implement improvement strategies
• Experience as a technical liaison between corporate, representative contractors, and the DOD senior staff
• Must have a government security clearance at the SECRET level or above, or recently held a clearance and remain in favorable status
• Excellent computer or technology skills
• High-quality communication and presentation dexterity
• Ability to support required travel (up to 40%)
