Are you passionate about ensuring software quality, solving complex problems, and driving excellence in every line of code? Blu Omega is looking for an enthusiastic Quality Assurance (QA) / Tester to join our innovative team of software developers and engineers. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a world-class full-stack web application on AWS, ensuring it's not only functional but also robust, efficient, and seamless for users.

As our QA Tester, you will be the eyes and ears for quality-rigorously testing, tracking defects, and collaborating closely with our development team to create flawless software. Your work will directly influence the performance, usability, and success of a critical application, and your insights will shape the next generation of tech.

Responsibilities:
  • Test, Innovate, and Deliver: Develop and design data pipelines to enable a seamless end-to-end solution, ensuring that every part of the application works as intended.
  • Rigorous Testing: Review application requirements and technical documentation to identify key test cases and data needs. Then, you'll create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, scripts, and cases.
  • Comprehensive Testing: Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure the app is reliable, scalable, and free from defects.
  • Defect Detective: Identify, document, and track defects with precision using defect tracking tools, ensuring that no bug goes unnoticed.
  • Collaborate with Developers: Work hand-in-hand with developers to pinpoint the root cause of defects and help troubleshoot issues. Your feedback will be invaluable in fine-tuning the app.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Help grow the next generation of QA talent by mentoring junior testers, guiding them in testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Be the Voice of Quality: Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, resolve challenges, and provide recommendations on software functionality and usability.
  • Client and Developer Support: Be the go-to person for testing-related inquiries, offering insights and support to developers and clients alike.

Qualifications:
  • Test Planning & Design: You know how to create test plans and design test cases that thoroughly vet every aspect of a web application.
  • Experience with Agile: You're comfortable working in an Agile environment and understand how to integrate testing seamlessly into the development cycle.
  • Attention to Detail: You spot the smallest issues and track them down to ensure a smooth user experience.
  • Defect Analysis: You're experienced in logging, analyzing, and addressing defects to maintain the highest standards of quality.
  • Test Automation Expertise: You know how to automate tests and streamline processes for efficient and repeatable results.

Nice to Haves:
  • AWS Experience: Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-based applications.
  • Performance Testing Tools: Familiarity with tools like jMeter and LoadRunner for performance testing.
  • Database & Development Knowledge: A strong understanding of database monitoring and software development concepts.
  • Test Management Tools: Proficiency with tools like Jira to manage test cases and track defects.
  • Certifications: ISTQB Certification (or equivalent) to validate your expertise.
  • Testing Tools Knowledge: Experience with Agile Testing Tools, jMeter, LoadRunner, and Database Monitoring Tools.

Salary Range: $120K - $178K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
