We're looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with structural, thermal, and electrical design experience to join our High Voltage Charging and Distribution team. As a High-Voltage Harness Mechanical Engineer you will develop state-of-the-art high-voltage harnesses and distribution systems for electric vehicles, investigate challenges with high-voltage distribution components such as charge ports & cable harnesses, and implement innovative solutions. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude, demonstrates excellence in their respective fields, and possesses the ability to adapt quickly within a fast-paced environment. Role:
Take ownership of high voltage harness design, HV connector design, and related components for next-generation vehicle platforms from concept to production
Exhibit a flair for creative problem-solving and attention to detail
Demonstrate technical excellence and apply engineering first-principles to new applications
Integrate mechanical designs with high voltage electrical systems in a multidisciplinary environment
Optimize designs for size, weight, durability, and cost
Create 3D CAD models and 2D GD&T controlled drawings of complex harnesses and assemblies
Qualifications:
2 years of relevant work experience
Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
Proficient with CATIA or similar CAD software (3DX experience highly beneficial)
Experience with FEA using Ansys or similar software
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, die casting, etc
Experience with root cause corrective action processes
Well-developed team-working and interpersonal skills in a cross-functional environment
Preferred:
Experience with automotive engineering
Experience with power electronics
Knowledge of harness and/or connector design for high-voltage environments
Education:
BS and/or MS in Mechanical Engineering
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$113,800-$156,530 USD
