The Business Relationship and Project Management Senior Planning Analyst will support the objectives of the Business Relationship and Project Management team, focusing on the development of solid oversight and reporting tools to advance procedural and budgeting rigor within the organization.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • The Business Relationship and Project Management Senior Planning Analyst will serve on the organizational team responsible for the administration of budgeting and financial matters, project management oversight, and fostering strong relationships with our business partners across the company.
  • Support the Business Relationship Manager role in building connections with internal IT stakeholders and assisting with new project intake including development and implementation of technology roadmaps.
  • Support development and ongoing maintenance of IT project intake application. Synthesize user feedback to develop plan for app improvements.
  • Support sound project management through the understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) procedures, IT Capital Project Management Procedure, and the IT Project Management Guide, driving attainment and accountability across the department.
  • Lead change management for organization and individual projects, including developing training, outreach and communication materials, and delivering materials through various means.
  • Assist with the management of the IT BSD OMS Director level portfolio and roadmap for both Con Ed and Orange & Rockland capital and O&M projects.
  • Assist PMO efforts in creating, reviewing, and updating project plan (including interdependencies, deliverables, project timeline, Public Service Commission (PSC) date, and other criteria or as directed by leadership.
  • Support the departmental budget through financial management, including guiding systems managers and their team members with tasks such as rate case preparation, capital budgeting & optimization process, appropriations & rulings, purchasing, and other budgetary inquiries. Make use of financial applications such as Oracle EBS, Oracle BI and Unifier, for ad hoc financial analysis, and procurement.
  • Support accountability and provide analytical support through the development and administration of reporting that receives information from numerous sources and provides a cohesive, overall view of department performance.
  • Collaborate with financial planning teams, IT project management, and other organizations as needed to update monthly budgeting, variances, and other financial requirements. Also perform other related tasks and special assignments as required.


Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' experience in managing projects, developing applications, and/or financial/budgeting management
  • Master's Degree and 2 years' experience in managing projects, developing applications, and/or financial/budgeting management
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Business, marketing/communications, or finance degree preferred and 4 years' experience in managing projects, developing applications, and/or financial/budgeting management
  • Master's Degree Business, marketing/communications, or finance degree preferred and 2 years' experience in managing projects, developing applications, and/or financial/budgeting management
Relevant Work Experience
  • Experience in Azure DevOps environment, required.
  • Experience in project management techniques or SDLC, required.
  • Experience in project management applications/software (Project, Primavera, etc.), required.
  • Capable of working independently or with a team, required.
  • Passionate problem solver, required.
  • Leadership, talent development and team minded qualities, required.
  • A strong sense of ownership and is not afraid to speak up, required.
  • Collaborative, curious, empathetic, open-minded, innovative, required.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Power Platform (PowerBI/Automate, Power Apps), preferred.
  • Budget forecasting experience, preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Driver's License Required
Additional Physical Demands
  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
