Sr System Analyst-IT BSD Shared Services Build

Come join us at Con Edison! We're seeking a highly motivated Senior System Analyst for our IT BSD Shared Services Build team. You'll manage enterprise-wide systems like The Employee Hub (Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud) and Oracle EBS Suite. We're rolling out new HCM & Talent Modules in 2025-2026. Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Responsible for both front end and backend development tasks, including database tasks.
• Contributes across the technology stack, from database and DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment, to native apps and demonstrates leadership in product quality, technical excellence, and engineering practices.
• This individual will be well versed with programming languages that are required for client (user) side development, as well as integration approaches and technologies to bridge contemporary front-end implementations with legacy backend systems.
• Lead, Design, code and architect complex applications and demonstrate a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and system design.
• Writes programming specifications with guidance, based on systems design for small to medium change
• Makes recommendations for improving application design and implementation in light of process changes or changes in business or technology environment
• Collaborate with other software engineers and developers, on the various layers of infrastructure for our applications.
• Ensure responsiveness of applications and maintain quality.
• Collaborate with all software engineering teams to design, develop, and launch new features.
• Effectively develop, manage, and strengthen vendor relationships to align vendor products and services with business and IT objectives
• May be responsible for overseeing consultants work (developers and testers, and System Integrator employees).
• Mentor and develop junior team members with technical proficiency.
• Participates in disaster recovery drills
• Manages incidents including timely and relevant communication. Triage problems, remediate, analyze root cause, and implement incident prevention using techniques such as Human Performance Improvement.
• Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
• Participates in the Companys emergency management processes and storm plans as required.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant
• professional experience
• Associate's Degree and 4+ years of relevant professional experience
• High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of relevant professional experience

Relevant Work Experience

• At least three (3+) years of hands on experience with the following technologies:
• Structured Query Language (SQL) and
• (Oracle PL/SQL or Microsoft T-SQL) Required
• Experience (portfolio work) building and debugging an application at: front end, back end, database Required
• Hands on experience working with and supporting REST APIs Required
• Strong hands on experience with best practices of application-based security best practices (e.g., JWT, OAuth, SAML, token-based authentication). Required
• Hands on experience with engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications and security. Required
• Ability to lead a team, coach and mentor developers on the team to drive delivery. Required
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders in non-tech language. Required
• Excellent communication skills with strong ability to influence senior executives on technology decisions through different influencing tactics. Required
• Capable of working independently or with a team. Required
• Must be driven and agile in learning new technologies. Required
• Must be comfortable and experienced with complex business logic and system integrations. Required
• Hands on experience supporting off-the-shelf or Cloud based SaaS enterprise level applications like Oracle Fusion Cloud, Peoplesoft HCM, Oracle EBS Suite Preferred
• Has successfully delivered multiple products end-to-end (with a team) from inception to delivery. Preferred
• Fluent in writing comprehensive test suites (e.g. unit, snapshot, integration, end-to- end Preferred
• Knowledge of cloud based systems and deployment models. Preferred
• Experience working with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Service Now Preferred
• Knowledge and experience with Agile process. Preferred
• Formal Project Management and/or Business Analysis skills a plus. Preferred

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.

Additional Physical Demands

• Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
