Job Description:

As a Metrology Quality Analyst you will perform a variety of programming (on-line and off-line) functions for different types of electronic inspection equipment to include DCC CMM (Direct Computer Controlled Coordinate Measuring Machine) and portable CMM equipment (Romer Arm, Laser Tracker) using PC DMIS software to evaluate product produced at or supplied to Caterpillar. Build and calibrate probing on the CMM's. Competence in interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) print requirements and applying the correct metrology application to understand the relationship of processes and products. This will require knowledge of print reading, engineering standards and familiarization with new product requirements.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • DCC CMM or portable inspection equipment programming experience
  • Print reading and GD&T experience
  • Intermediate Computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Takes initiative


Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Associates Degree in engineering or technology related field or equivalent experience
  • Training in Intermediate and/or Advanced GD&T
  • CAD experience

Summary Pay Range:
$79,800.00 - $119,760.00
