We are growing! Moog Focal is looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team!

In this role, You Will:
  • Analyze financial and costing data to ensure accurate financial reporting and costing for pricing and profitability analysis.
  • Embrace data analytics, Power BI, data warehouse reporting, and other tools to monitor and analyze information.
  • Work with technical resources and function leads to ensure a cohesive, solution-focused organization.
  • Offer data-informed recommendations for efficiency improvements, cost controls, and risk mitigation.
  • Identify risks in internal controls and support any changes needed to process or procedures.
  • Support ongoing continuous improvement through revenue and expense analysis and trends identification.
  • Ensure US GAAP compliant financial reporting including variance analysis and reconciliations.
  • Engage with quarterly/annual audits.
  • Ensure contracts are classified correctly according to ASC-606.
  • Interface with sales, engineering, and internal/external audit.
  • Align with corporate shared services for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, and other support as needed.
  • Identify and prioritize goals, initiatives, and actions necessary to ensure financial reporting, strategy, and forecasting are timely and accurate.
  • Act as an effective member of the Finance team supporting business demands.
  • Interpret, execute, and suggest improvements to directives from site and business leadership while working in a team environment to positively influence others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • CPA/CA designation considered an asset.
  • At least five years of Accounting/Finance/Costing experience.
  • Familiar with SAP ERP system and/or OneStream is considered an asset.
  • Proven track record of business partnering to achieve business goals and targets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products
  • Experience working in corporate environments where receiving inputs from multiple layers within the organization and in turn translate, act, and deliver to varied audiences.
  • Leadership qualities with a desire to work in cross-functional teams, build relationships, foster inclusion, and generate mutual participation.
