Job Description
DNV Energy Management group is seeking an Transportation Electrification Engineer with a BS/MS degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Computer Science, or a related field with an aptitude for technical analysis. As a valued member of our Energy Management team, you will be responsible for supporting our portfolio of electric vehicle programs across the United States through implementation, operating analytics tools, conducting fleet advisory studies for end-customers, creating technical eligibility criteria, working with utility engineering departments to analyze grid capabilities of supporting EVSE deployment, and establishing best practices for organizations as they relate to the deployment of electric vehicle programs.
An excellent understanding Excel is required and of SQL Server, python, and PowerBi preferred. An understanding of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, particularly in fleet applications, is desired.
This role is based at any of our DNV offices in the US, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. What You'll Do:
- Advance the energy transition by supporting fleets on their electrification journey
- Analyze fleet operational data to make recommendations on electric alternatives
- Quantify cost, environmental, and grid impacts of proposed electric vehicle deployment
- Review project and product data for compliance and applicability to program requirements
- Create and present client project reports and deliverables
- Operate analytics tools as they relate to various programs
- Develop and maintain documentation (external and within tools) of the system configuration, procedures, item configuration
- Take ownership of tools and technology for maintenance and continuous improvement
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise on EV tools, electric vehicles, and charging equipment for both internal and external clients
- Support Senior staff with EV Program design and development
- Actively engage with the Energy Management team and other colleagues across functions, sharing knowledge and ideas in support of best practice development, innovation, and customer success

Qualifications
What is Required:
- 2- 5 years of experience in the energy efficiency, sustainability, utility sector, or similar, experience with electric vehicles (EVs) and charging infrastructure is a plus.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with engineering analysis and tools is required
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills for customer and internal client communication required
- Individual should display a positive, team-oriented attitude to match our friendly work environment
- We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
What is Preferred:
- An educational and/or career experience with emphasis on utility and/or energy experience, especially electric vehicles is strongly preferred
- Intermediate/advance Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge required. SQL, python, and PowerBI preferred
