Loudoun County Department of Family Services seeks a dedicated and experienced professional for a Utilization Review Analyst position for the Children's Services Act. The successful candidate will join the Department of Family Services which envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all. Job Summary

The Utilization Review (UR) Analyst is a position within the Children's Services Act (CSA) team. CSA operates in support of empowering and strengthening at-risk youth and their families within the community.
The UR Analyst position requires a highly organized, self-motivated, and passionate team player with the capacity to engage youth and families respectfully, collaborate effectively with other professionals, manage competing priorities and deadlines, and demonstrate effective oral and written communication.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Provide clinical assessments of at-risk youth with emotional and behavioral issues
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with a multidisciplinary team approach
- Demonstrate a working understanding of best practice models and knowledge of community resources related to the provision of services to at-risk youth
- Develop service plans that are strengths-based, least-restrictive, child-centered, family focused, and community-based
- Maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of professionals including Loudoun County Public Schools; Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services; Juvenile Court Services, the Health Department, and private providers in the community
- Complete reports and maintain all clinical records and documentation according to federal, state, and agency policies and procedures, and assure compliance with state standards

This position also requires sound decision-making and attention-to-detail, along with knowledge of CSA, family engagement principles, mental health and substance abuse issues, utilization review standards within a behavioral health environment, and use of community-based supports and services with at-risk youth and families.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Social Work, Psychology, or related field; three (3) years of related work experience with the target client population and families including at-risk youth or similar experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical experience
- Licensure in behavioral health care field

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Pass pre-employment credit, criminal, Dept. of Motor Vehicle (DMV), fingerprinting, and Child Protective Services (CPS) background checks. Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification). Hold or obtain certifications desired by Department for specific assigned area.

Bi-lingual skills in Spanish and English preferred.

Travel outside of the county may be required.

At times, the Department of Family Services staff must respond to community and or emergency needs caused by inclement weather, natural or human-made disasters, etc. Therefore, in these very rare instances, all DFS staff must be available to work beyond the normal workday to include nights, weekends, and holidays, as required to perform functions of the position and/or situation. In addition, you may be required to work at an alternative worksite(s) within the County to perform duties that support the operational needs of the department.
