- Provide comprehensive nursing care, including the development and implementation of care plans.
- Administer medications, including narcotics, and perform specialized procedures such as IV therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, and oxygen therapy.
- Conduct dialysis, blood transfusions, intubation & CPR, tube feeding, catheterization, suctioning, and phlebotomy.
- Organize and oversee emergency response teams and direct healthcare staff.
- Lead and manage one assigned shift in the absence of a nurse 2 employee.
- Assist physicians in conducting diagnostic health evaluations.
- Document and maintain accurate medical records and complete necessary reports.
- Coordinate out-patient clinic appointments and manage prescriptions.
- Perform administrative duties and serve as a liaison within the organization.
- Conduct and participate in meetings and serve as an instructor when needed.
- Engage in problem-solving teams or groups as a member or leader.
