Job Description
The Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh school of Medicine (UPSOM)/University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is seeking a dedicated, collaborative rheumatologist with superb clinical acumen to join our team as a member of our faculty. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to provide specialized, interdisciplinary care to patients with Sjgren's Disease and Vasculitis at the UPMC Sjgren's Disease and Vasculitis Centers respectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in participating in Sjgren's and Vasculitis clinical trials to advance both patient care and research. Experience in musculoskeletal, vascular, and/or salivary gland ultrasound would be a highly advantageous asset, though training can be provided.
Must have an MD or equivalent,
Be board certified in Internal Medicine and be BC/BE in Rheumatology with the ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license.
Must have completed an accredited fellowship in Rheumatology.

Opportunity Details

4-day work week
Dedicated clinics at the University of Pittsburgh Sjgren's Disease Center
Dedicated clinics at the University of Pittsburgh Vasculitis Center
Sjgren's and vasculitis clinical trials
Minimum of 6 inpatient weeks per year (negotiable)
Provide quality rheumatology instruction, training, and mentorship in the inpatient/outpatient settings to medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals
Interact with their academic and basic science colleagues in the Division of Rheumatology and the Department of Medicine as part of their employment; this includes but is not limited to attending division and departmental faculty meetings, serving on committees; working to solve /address quality concerns and attending grand rounds
