Responsibilities:
The Mainframe Programmer will be responsible for:
- Reviewing, analyzing, designing, and developing programs written in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.
- Converting business requirements into technical solutions and deploying code to production.
- Working closely with business stakeholders, management, peers, and vendors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Participating in testing activities and providing support to the testing and business teams.
- Managing multiple tasks and supporting project work while maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
- Exercising initiative and problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality results.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Strong ability to analyze business requirements and implement them effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and support multiple projects concurrently.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Tax Systems.
- Experience with FIS ALLTEL/SYSTEMATICS applications (TX, IM, ST, AM, RM, SC, HX, and GN).
- Familiarity with ITSM (Incident, Release, Change Management).
- Hands-on experience with Serena ChangeMan Deployment tool.
- Working knowledge of IBM OnDemand Admin.
- Familiarity with GoAnywhere is a plus.
