Reporting to CFO, the Controller will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of the company by overseeing its day-to-day financial operations, ensuring the finance function is both organized and efficient. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and generating timely financial and management reports. Job Description

Essential Functions
  • Manage all aspects of the accounting process including timely financial close, reporting and budgeting for assigned entities.
  • Oversee the operations of the Accounting and Finance Department, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Develop, implement and document accounting policies, procedures and the related financial controls.
  • Foster the development and coaching of staff.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects, including determining and reporting KPIs.
  • Assist the Executive Team in making educated economic decisions about the business.
  • Assisting with various planning functions including cash flow management, revenue modeling and forecasting/annual planning.
  • Review and ensure timely filing of sales and use tax returns.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of federal, state and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience that includes time spent in public accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
  • Experience in Quickbooks and Workday preferred. Must be comfortable learning new accounting systems.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
