Job Title: Naval Engineer

Job Summary: Do you have a passion for naval architecture and a talent for Hydrodynamics? We are looking for a highly skilled and driven professional to join our innovative team! In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in Global Performance analysis and mooring design of Offshore Production Platforms while expanding your knowledge across the full breadth of naval architecture. You'll collaborate with a world-class team of engineers on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of offshore engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct engineering calculations and analysis related to vessel design, upgrades, or conversions, including hull sizing, stability, motions, mooring strength and fatigue, dynamic positioning, and air gap assessments.
  • Develop detailed engineering reports and calculations ensuring compliance with Classification Society regulations, National Standards, and company safety standards.
  • Perform weight-tracking calculations, deadweight surveys, and assist in inclining experiment activities.
  • Assist and mentor Specialist II personnel to ensure the accuracy and quality of performed work.
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to support project goals.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required as part of project execution.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • B.S. in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or a related relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with a consulting engineering firm, marine, or drilling contractor.
  • Proficiency in engineering software including Excel, Word, AutoCAD, WAMIT, GHS, and ARIANE 7; familiarity with Orcaflex is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including Classification Societies (ABS, DNV, etc.), International and Flag State Regulatory Bodies (IMO, SOLAS, USCG, MMS, etc.), and Offshore Industry regulations (API, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and control mechanisms.
