Description

System Administrator:

ATEC is looking for a System Administrator to join our National Airspace System (NAS) Enterprise Services Infrastructure Team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The NAS Enterprise Services Infrastructure supports numerous virtual machine platforms that host multiple internal software systems.

We are looking for an experienced individual to work independently and in a team environment to support system maintenance, integration, and installation of multiple complex computer systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Upgrade, maintain, and manage multiple enterprise systems simultaneously using
    • Vmware,
    • Redhat products, or
    • Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products such as Active directory, Cisco, hardware, splunk clients, backup applications, etc.
  • Maintain complex applications in a Linux environment using VMs or containers/Kubernetes.
  • System automation using Ansible, Perl, Bash, power shells, Windows services, continuous integration, DevOps, gitlab, Jenkins, and system workflow planning.
  • Infrastructure design and system design that may involve hybrid cloud administration.
  • Work collaboratively with a team or as an individual on assigned projects to meet multiple deadlines and deliverables.
  • Second level support for deployment and field issues.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

Required:
  • Experience with Windows, VMware, Linux/Unix environment system administration.
  • Experience with networking configuration.
  • Experience with hardware setup.
  • Experience with system automation such power shell, ansible, bash, repo tool such as SVN or git.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask; working on multiple systems to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to lift ~25 to 30 lbs (servers).

Preferred:
  • Experience with containers such as Kubernetes or Openshift.
  • Experience in the configuration and maintenance of enterprise storage solutions, such as Netapp.
  • Experience with continuous integration such as gitlab or Jenkins, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools, DevOps.
  • Experience with network configuration, such as: Cisco/Firewall/load balancer setup, Active Directory integration, versioning tools (git/svn).
  • Knowledge and familiarity with security administration of networked components to a defined baseline standard; such as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Center for Internet Security (CIS), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), or ZeroTrust.
  • Experience with Tanium client, Splunk client or Tripwire.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Route53, Elastic File System (EFS), Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud formation, Cloud Development Kit (CDK), direct connect/ transit gateways, Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, AWS Systems Operations (SysOps) certificate.

EDUCATION/YEARS of EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required and twenty-five (25) years of related experience with at least fifteen (15) years of NAS experience.
    • An Associate's Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of two (2) years of experience.
    • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of four (4) years of experience.

OR
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor's degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and twenty (20) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field.

OR
  • A Master's Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and sixteen (16) years related work experience in a computer science or math field

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation
  • Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Full-time position with a flexible work schedule.
  • Limited travel.

PAY RANGE:
  • $95,000 - $133,000
