Job Summary: The R&D Manager will be responsible for overseeing the research and development of new and innovative confectionery products. This role requires a blend of scientific expertise, creative thinking, and leadership skills to drive product innovation from concept to commercialization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science, product development, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the R&D team in developing new candy and confectionery products, from ideation to launch.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for new product development.
  • Formulate and test recipes, ensuring product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance, to bring new products to market.
  • Manage the R&D budget and allocate resources efficiently to meet project deadlines and goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and product prototypes to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food product development, with a focus on candy and confections.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to think creatively and drive innovation.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
