Summary
This position is responsible for executing new product development initiatives and enhancing existing products to support the company's growth and brand objectives. Under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, the ideal candidate will leverage creativity, technical knowledge, and strong project management skills to deliver consumer-focused products that drive brand success and market impact.

Responsibilities
Accounting and Tax Management

  • Prepare the financial statements with accounting records and reports in the accounting system.
  • Perform and process all Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Close tasks to prepare financial reports including the report for the quarterly consolidation on schedule with the CFO.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to conduct the annual Accounting Audit.
  • Reconcile and manage balance on all BS accounts, including PPE and lease accounts.
  • Review and approve invoices and expenses for payment.
  • Review and approve all cash receipt and AR clearing journal entries. Conduct a review of AR aging.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual estimated tax return payments, manage property tax, and handle any other tax accounting tasks while communicating with tax consultants.

Internal control / IT (ERP/RPA)
  • Ensure internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures are followed for activities.
  • Ensure operations comply with J-SOX standards set by HQ under the direction of the CFO.
  • Maintain, update, and troubleshoot an accounting system and interfaces while communicating with vendors.

Team Management / internal communication
  • Team building and management: Evaluate and set goals for team members, monitor their performance and workload, and optimize output.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance, while providing recommendations to optimize the effective and efficient use of financial resources.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least three years of experience in CPG marketing or product development.
  • Familiarity with FDA labeling requirements is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and document management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and cross-functional departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Japanese fluency.
