As a full time Speech Language Pathologist in Acute Therapy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, you will have comprehensive knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques in a medical and physical disabilities setting.
- Perform evaluations
- Demonstrate appropriate treatment interventions and strategies
- Complete discharge planning for patients
- Knowledge and experience with bedside swallow exams and video swallow evaluations
- Must possess a minimum computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows or comparable system (specifically including keyboard and mouse skills). As applicable to individual job duties and expectations, employee must additionally possess a working knowledge of word processing, databases, presentation development, e-mail, browser and online reporting.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited SLP program - Masters minimum
- Valid and current license as a SLP in the state of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Prefer experience in an acute care setting that includes clinical swallowing evaluations, modified barium swallow evaluations, speaking valve evaluations. Experience working with the electronic health record preferred.
