The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:
In an inpatient setting, supports standards of care and providing consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care. Supports activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level, and contributes to goal achievement through personal action and the facilitation of others. They participate in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future. Provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and communicates effectively within the unit and service. They also participate in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient outcomes. May have responsibilities at the unit, program or service level and may assume an expanded role as assigned by leadership
FT position available. D/E/N, 8- and 12-hour shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call responsibilities per unit policy.
As we expand our medical facility with construction of a state-of-the-art Emergency Tower, we are seeking a dynamic Assistant Nurse Manager to lead and coordinate the integration of our G1600 Transition and ED Observation Units. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the growth of the new combined Emergency Observation Unit for the new tower. Collaboratively working with the Nurse Manager, leadership team and nursing staff from both G1600 and Emergency Observation Unit. The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) provides direct support to the Unit Nurse Manager assisting in daily unit operations and providing clinical patient care. Participates in the management of human resources, career sculpting, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retentions strategies, and scheduling. Involved in activities at the service, nursing practice and institutional level, contributes to goal achievement through personal action, effective communication and facilitation of others. Seeking an individual with a positive attitude, who demonstrates leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strategic problem-solving ability, and strong clinical skills. Requirements: BSN, 3-5 years of previous leadership experience and an active New York State license in good standing required.
