US Consumables Finance team supports the core Consumables category business (Health and Personal Care, Grocery, Beauty, Premium Beauty, Baby, and Pets) and various fast-growing and highly impactful programs (e.g., Everyday Essentials, Subscribe and Save, Reorder Programs Amazon Access, etc.). We are looking for an analytical, self-driven, and innovative Finance Manager who is able to distill complex problems into solutions that drive business insights and finance process improvement.
The role is an opportunity to lead key workstreams and controllership processes for program initiatives at Consumables. The role will support Amazon Access and Climate Pledge Friendly. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to perform analysis, create metrics, and develop forecasts/insights that drive strategic business decisions for senior stakeholders. While this role is within US Consumables Finance, several of our mechanisms and workstreams extend beyond US Consumables resulting in high impact, complex and visible projects.
Key job responsibilities
- Build financial models/business cases for existing and new program initiatives
- Drive automation and scale of financial reporting. Simplify process for internal stakeholders (e.g., finance peers and business partners).
- Driving finance communication with partner teams on product performance and financial impact, including identification of risks and opportunities.
- Provide insights and clarity on team opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
- Partnering with product management, marketing, and engineering teams to understand initiatives and influence financial results.
- Partnership with business teams and Finance stakeholders to help develop short- and long-term forecasts.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
